Doyle, Arthur Conan
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930), the Scottish writer and physician, was most recognised for creating the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. Doyle was a prolific writer whose generated books of fantasy, plays, romances, poetry, non-fiction and historical novels. Doyle’s fiction has endured the test of time with many of his novels adapted for radio and film. A first edition copy of his books are highly sought after and remain a very collectable item.
