This book was issued in an edition of 9,000 copies, in Dec. 1871, but no copies have 1871 on the title-page, and instead marked 1872. With “wade” for “wabe” on p.21. Toned contents with a few folds and marks. Small stain on the first few pages extending to the title page. Dulled gilt page ends. 8vo With fifty illustrations by John Tenniel. 8vo 244pp with page of publisher’s advertisements.
