Haggard, H Rider
Sir Henry Rider Haggard (1856 to 1925). An English writer and good friend of Rudyard Kipling, Haggard was a writer of adventure fiction set in exotic locations, many in Africa where he lived from 1875 to 1882. His literary works include the well known novel King Solomon’s Mines, considered the pioneer of the lost world literary genre. Other famous titles include Allan Quartermain and She which was one of the best-selling novels of all time.
