The Way the World is Going contains 26 articles and a lecture on a range of topics from politics to science H G Wells worked on in 1927. The book was first published in the UK in 1928 and this US edition was released a year later.
Original buff cloth boards with blue and red lettering and illustrations on the cover and spine. The spine is darkened with worn edges. Light toning of the covers. Top edge is coloured and uncut toned other edges. Bright illustrated red end papers. Hinge is beginning to split on the half title page. Signed by the author on the half title page, “To Muriel Davies to cheer her up on a wet day”. The contents are clean. The dust jacket is rubbed and clean. Small tears and chipping on edges and folds repaired with tape internally. 8vo. 324 pp.
