The Hill of Davi is the first American edition of Forster’s account of his two visits to Dewas, India in 1912-1913 and 1921 and reveals a background to his novel, A Passage to India. Illustrated with eight photographs.
Original bright green cloth boards with lightly defective gilt lettering on the spine. Photographic image on the paste downs. Very clean contents and photograph images. The unclipped dust jacket has a darkened spine and mild chipping to the edges. Minor loss to the upper edge of the spine. Lightly browned rear of the jacket. 8vo 267 pp.
