A first edition of Maurice with dust jacket in very good condition. Published posthumously in 1971, shortly after the author’s death. Written in 1913–1914 but withheld by E. M. Forster due to its homosexual themes. Original black boards with bright gilt lettering on the spine. Top edge pink. Dedication on the front free page dated 1972. The dust jacket has minimal wear with a repaired tear on the upper interior edge of the jacket. 8vo 241pp.
