A scarce first edition of Under the Greenwood Tree with an etching by H. Macbeth-Raeburn and a map of Wessex at the rear of the book. The Wessex Novels Volume XIV. Original decorative dark-green ribbed cloth gilt, with an elaborate “TH” monogram blocked in gilt on the front cover. Top edge of the spine is split and lightly damaged. Stain on the front cover edge affecting the first few pages of the book. Tissue guard in situ. Clean contents with some light spotting. 8vo 273pp.
