The Fly is a dark, satrical novel by the British artist and author, Richard Chopping,  best known for his trompe-l’oeil dust jackets for nine of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels, including From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, and The Man with the Golden Gun. Utilizing his talents for depicting insects, Chopping painted a memorable cover of a fly that has landed on a human eye. Flies are also present on the covers of “The Man With The Golden Gun” and “Octopussy.”

Original blue boards with silver gilt lettering on the spine. Clean contents. Sotherby’s sticker on the front paste down dated 2010. The unclipped dust jacket is in very good condition. Two Small tears repaired with tape on the spine and lower edge. Small stain on the rear cover. 8vo 291pp
