Alistair Maclean

Alistair Stuart MacLean (21 April 1922 – 2 February 1987) was a Scottish novelist who also wrote two novels under the name of Ian Stuart. His early career was with the Royal Navy until he was released in 1946. He then studied English and became a school teacher and writer.  His works includes the well known titles of The Guns of Navarone, Ice Station Zebra and Where Eagles Dare which have all made into popular films making them a collectors item.
