This first edition, later impression, copy  of William Tell Told Again is a retelling of the legend written in prose and verse. Philip Dadd supplied the frontpiece and fifteen full colour illustrations. The illustrations are accompanied by verses written by John W. Houghton. P. G. Wodehouse dedicated the book to “Biddy O’Sullivan for a Christmas present”. Her identity was only discovered in 2006. She was the young daughter of Wodehouse’s friend, the actor and singer, Denis O’Sullivan (1868-1908).

Original hardback brown cloth boards with green coloured illustrations on the cover. Repair to the spine. Spine a little darkened. Wear to the edges and top/bottom of the spine. Small red mark on the rear cover. Corners bumped and rubbed. Internally clean with browned pages. Clean and bright illustrations. 106 printed pages. 6 x 9″
