The Spy Who Loved Me by Ian Fleming

A very good copy of this first edition of Ian Fleming’s ninth novel complete with dust jacket. This copy has a printer’s flaw in the title page and is a bright copy. The error occurs when a printer’s quad mark (a spacer between the type) has dropped and comes in contact with the sheets. Scarce variant issue “exact numbers are unconfirmed, but experience suggests as few as one in ten copies exist in this state within the first print run.” (Jon Gilbert pp 331)

Brown cloth boards with silver gilt sword on the cover and lettering on the spine. Minimal wear to the edges and cover. The red front end pages have tape marks. Printing error of “Ian Fleming”on the title page . The contents are clean with only a few marks on the page edges and a couple within the text. The unclipped dust jacket is bright with minimal fading of the spine. Tape marks across the folds. 8vo 221 pp.
