Sylvie and Bruno Concluded recounts stories of two child protagonists, Sylvie, the princess of Fairyland and her immature and younger brother, Bruno. The novel was based on the author’s theory of “What might possibly happen, supposing Fairies really existed” as Carroll explains in his introduction.
Original red cloth boards clean and unblemished. Triple ruled bright gilt with pictorial triple ruled gilt roundel on both boards. Gilt stamped title and decoration on the spine. Spine head and foot slightly rubbed. Slightly age toned copy. Contents in clean condition with bright, gilt edges. Intact tissue guard to the front illustration. Clean black end papers. A pencil comment on the frontpiece of the half title page. Unclipped dust jacket. The head, tail, corners and the front crease of the spine are chipped. Browned at the edges with darkened spine.
