Two first editions with forty six illustrations by Henry Furniss. The first volume published in 1889, and second volume, Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, was published in 1893. The last novels published during Carroll’s lifetime.
Both copies have bright red cloth boards with gilt borders and illustration. Bright gilt edges to the pages. The contents are clean. Black and white illustrations thought the books. Sylvie and Bruno has darkened spine and rubbed covers. Edges of the spine are torn and chipped. Few marks on the board. Last three pages are loose. 400 pp plus advertisments. Concluded is in a bright condition. Spine lightly discoloured. Rubbed spine ends. 423 pp plus advertisments. Both tissue guarded frontis illustration. Both 8vo.
