A scarce copy of the UK first edition book of this novel by P. G. Wodehouse. Summer Moonshine was first published in the United States on October 8, 1937 by Doubleday and then in the United Kingdom on February 11, 1938 by Herbert Jenkins. London. The book was first serialised in 1937 by the American magazine, The Saturday Evening Post and then in the British magazine, Pearson’s Magazine, in 1938. This copy is the first UK edition in very good condition with a very bright dust jacket.
Bright red, original hard boards with black lettering on the spine and covers. The contents are clean and bright. Top edges of the pages are red. A bright, complete dust jacket with a few closed tears and slight chips on the extremities. 20cm tear and crease on rear lower edge. Colour illustration by Fenwick. 3/- penciled on cover. Front flap has list of 33 Wodehouse titles ending in Lord Emsworth and Others. Back flap has six Bindle books advertised. Some loss on the lower rear edges of the jacket.
