A signed copy of this famous play with an unclipped dust jacket. The title page has the signature of T. S Eliot underline his printed name which has been crossed out. Murder in the Cathedral has been adapted and performed in UK and USA theatres and television with great success from 1935. The story relates the assassination of Archbishop Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral in 1170.
Dark blue/purple cloth boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Lightly soiled and bumped corners. The contents have a few marks around the hinges of some of the pages. A few pencil marks on the play script. The dust jacket is soiled. Chipping on the edges with some pieces missing of the spine affecting the lettering. Two small holes on the rear cover. Darkened spine. 8vo. 87 pp
