This war time edition of Mary Poppins Opens The Door is illustrated by Mary Shepard, the daughter of E. H. Shepard, the famous artist of Winnie the Pooh books by A. A. Milne. Twenty nine full page and half page black and white illustrations throughout the text, including frontis.

Green cloth boards with a black illustration of Mary Poppins on the board. Black lettering on the spine. Faded spine with bleaching on the top edge. Corners of the boards are bumped. Illustrated end papers lightly browned. Contents are clean. Pale blue dust jacket with red stars and blue illustrations of Mary Poppins. The spine of the dust jacket is faded with wear to the spine top and bottom. Some fading to the edges of the dust jacket. Unclipped price 3-6d net.
