The Lawless Roads by Graham Greene, first edition
A good condition copy of Greene’s account of his travels to Mexico. The Lawless Roads relates his journey across the country observing the effects of the government’s campaign of the anti-Catholic secularisation. Sections of the book were originally appeared in The Spectator, the Tablet , The New Statesman and the Evening Standard. A lovely book for any Graham Greene collector. Includes ten illustrations mostly from Greene’s photographs.
Original red cloth boards with gilt lettering on the spine. The boards are mildly marked however, little sign of wear on the extremities and corners. Bright yellow map on the end pages. Signature on the half title page in pencil. The contents are clean. 306pp. 8vo
