A signed limited edition of this unique publication in fine condition. Apparently Greene requested that the play was restricted the edition to his most avid readers. He guaranteed their investment by a personal signature in each copy. The play is based on the life of Benjamin Jowett, the eccentric master of Baliol. The book was written for radio in 1939. Public interest was stimulated on a repeat of the play which prompted the author to publish the script for the first time.
