His Last Bow First Edition by Arthur Conan Doyle
His Last Bow, The War Service of Sherlock Holmes, was first published as story in The Strand Magazine and is one of 56 short stories compiled by Arthur Conan Doyle. It was later collected into this anthology with other Sherlock Holmes stories. His Last Bow story is unusual as it is narrated in the third person rather than the typical narration of Dr Watson. The stories in The Last Bow relate to Holmes cases taken during his “retirement” and to assist in the cause for the war.
