A rare copy of this limited and signed collection of twelve illustrated children’s prose by the famous author, A. A. Milne. A Gallery of Children contains lovely coloured illustrations surrounded by a pastel frame and coloured border by H. Willebeek le Mair . In good condition. This was Milne’s second work for children, following the verses of When We Were Very Young (1924) and before the book, Winnie the Pooh (1926).

Original cream cloth boards with gilt illustrations and titles. Bright gilt. The bindings of the book are tight. The covers are marked and stained.  Spine is darkened. The pages are untrimmed. Foxing on the end papers. Light foxing to some of the illustrations and pages within but overall a bright copy. All illustrations are bright. One image is loose. 105 printed pages. 13 x 10 1/2″ , 33 x 27cm
