The tale describes the encounters between a mischievous dragon and Farmer Giles of Ham with mystical characters. The book is illustrated with black, white and coloured images by Pauline Diana Baynes. Complete with unclipped dust jacket. A good find.
This first edition copy is in good condition with a dust jacket. Original orange cloth boards with blue dragon illustration on the front. Blue lettering on the spine. The edition is cocked. The cover is a little grubby. Top edge coloured and faded. Patterned end papers a little browned. Lightly foxed on the title page. Contents free from tears. The dust jacket has a 5 cm piece missing from the lower spine. There are stains on the front and back covers. Chips and minor loss of the top edge and corners of the spine. 8vo. 79 printed pages.
