Dumb Witness by Agatha Christie: first edition
The scarce first UK edition of this early Agatha Christie novel in good condition. The book was published later in the same year by Dodd, Mead and Company under the title, Poirot loses a Client. The Dumb Witness is dedicated to Christie’s beloved pet terrier dog, Peter. The dedication reads, “the most faithful of friends and dearest of companions, a dog in a thousand”. The book has been adapted for television and radio and remains a collectable item.
