A Diversity of Creatures by Rudyard Kipling
A unique copy of A Diversity of Creatures which is inscribed by Rudyard Kipling to C. R. L Fletcher. Fletcher (1857-1934), was a fellow at Oxford University and worked with Rudyard Kipling. He included twenty three new poems by Kipling in his book, School History of England. This copy has a bookplate of the historian plus a signature and dated dedication from Kipling to his colleague, Fletcher. The book is in a very good condition.
Original red cloth boards with gilt emblem and lettering on the spine and cover. The spine is darkened and ends are lightly bumped with very lightly frayed ends. Top edges are gilt. The contents are clean and tight. 8vo 41 printed pages, plus poem and 4 pages of advertisements.
