Kerouac uses the name of his fictional alter-ego Jack Duluoz, in this fictionalized autobiographical series. It recounts the events concerning  the main character, Duluoz,’s mental and physical deterioration.

There are stains on the front free page and top edge of the pages which extends to several of the pages. The unclipped dust jacket and the colours are bright and clean.
