Translated from the German by A. W. Wheen. The German original, “Im Westen Nichts Neues” was published in January, and then in English in April of 1929. The first American printing of 100,000 copies of All Quiet on the Western Front is complete with dust jacket.
Generally good condition. Original cloth boards with red and black lettering. Slightly faded spine, top edge red. Contents are a little browned. 1cm tear on half title page. Mark on page 37 and light dog ear folds on the first pages, The dust jacket is bright, has internal tape repairs and a rubbed spine with loss of glaze. Browned colours of the jacket. Chipping and loss to the spine ends and fold ends. Small crease to the front illustration bottom right corner and 8mm tear on the top edge of the jacket. 8vo 291pp
