Twelve colour images by the German artist, Alastair Baron Hans Henning Voigt plus a note of explanation by Robert Ross, Oscar Wilde’s friend and literary executor. The edition is enclosed in a slipcase. This book is a limited edition of 1,000 copies and is a lovely find.
Original cream buckram illustrated cover with gilt colour. Rubbed and bumped corners with some light soiling. Two water splashes on the cover. Top edge is gilt with other page edges uncut. Tiny booksellers stamp on the front paste down. Toned end papers. Illustrations with toned tissue and titled guards. The very good quality illustrations are on lightly toned or black paper. Illustrated lettering through out the text. 4to . 36pp.
