Aesop’s Fables First Edition by V. S. Vernon Jones Illustrated by Arthur Rackham:
Production of Rackham’s book generally involved a standard trade edition like this one. The publishers accompanied the trade edition with a deluxe signed book, typically a limited edition. See our other Rackham books for these rare editions. A poor copy containing a seven-page introduction by G. K. Chesterton, written especially for this publication, and with a new translation of Aesops Fables by V. S. Vernon Jones.

Wears to the covers and spine with three tiny holes on the front cover and tear/hole on spine. Rubbed covers and blue marks on rear board. Chipping damage on rear lower edge of boards. Contents are clean with age toned front and rear end pages. Neat inscription to front end free page. Front and rear hinge is weak and bindings a little fragile. 224 printed pages. 8vo.
