The Wind in the Willows, written by Kenneth Grahame was first published in 1908. Its thirty-first printing Toad of Toad Hall was adapted for the stage in 1929 by A. A. Milne. The play lists the characters and contains four acts plus an epilogue . Alternately slow moving and fast paced, the story focuses on four anthropomorphous animals in a pastoral version of England. It remains a classic English play that has stood the test of time. This edition of Toad of Toad Hall with it’s dust jacket is a lovely example of this charming play.
