The Story of Little Black Sambo is a historically socially controversial story about a little Indian boy and his adventures with four tigers. Unusual to find this fifth edition  of the Little Black Sambo in such excellent condition.

Green waxed linen with darker green vertical lines and ruler reverse rectangle with title and author on the cover ans spine. Covers are clean and minimal signs of wear for it’s age and looks clean. Plain end papers a little browned. Pen dedication on The Dumpy Books for Children half title page, ” To dear little May with Auntie B’s best love, Sept 1901″. Listing of Dumpy books on page facing title page. Alternating text and illustrations so two blank pages lie between the text and drawing pages. Intact condition internally with no marks, tears or foxing. Colours of the illustrations are bright. 24mo 5-5 3/4 ” tall. 113 numbered pages.
