A good copy of this classic collection of rhymes, Now We Are Six, by A. A. Milne. With decorations by E. H. Shepard.
Original red cloth boards with gilt lettering . Darkened spine with light bumping on the ends. A small stain on the lower edge of the upper cover. The stain has leaked onto the lower edge and lower end of the spine of the dust jacket plus three spots on the cover. Illustrated pink end papers. Pen signature on the half title page. Partial toning of half title and rear imprint page. The rear pages have intermittent small stain patches including the end papers. The contents are clean. Binding is good – beginning to split on page 20/21 and 35/6 but the book holds together very well. Original illustrated dust jacket with stain as mentioned. The spine has 2cm piece missing from the upper edge and 1cm from the lower edge. Also small piece torn from the rear top edge. Corners chipped. Small tears on the lower edge. Wear to the folds. 8vo 103 printed pages.
