Mrs Turner’s Tales is the second publication of the children’s Dumpy books. It contains sixty nine cautionary tales about “bad” children selected by E.V. Lucas from five books of Elizabeth Turner written for “the pleasure and instruction of parents and grandparents”.
Typical pale green, striped cloth boards. There is some soiling on the covers and the printing is rubbed. The rear cover is bubbled. Illustrated end papers by Mrs Farmiloe. Dedication on the half title page dated 1902. Uncut pages. Top edges are gilt. 117 printed pages plus seven pages of publisher’s advertisements at the end.
