Ernest Hemingway, In Our Time
A lovely condition book by one of the great classic writers, Ernest Hemingway. In Our Time is his first collection of short stories with a title derived from the English Book of Prayer. The collection’s publication history was complex with shorter publications printed in 1923 and 1924. This volume contains his well known Nick Adams stories of Indian Camp and Big Two-Hearted River.
Black boards with the distinctive gilt line illustrations. The spine is frayed at the ends with rubbed gilt lettering. 1″ tear on the top of the spine. A small bump on the lower edge of the board cover.Very slightly cocked edition. The contents are clean save for marks on pages 23-5 and 112-116. No inscriptions. Page 48 has a sympathetically repaired closed tear. Careful repair of the spine rear hinge with fine Japanese paper. 8vo. 214 printed pages.
