A near fine copy of this classic novel set in a leper colony on the upper reaches of a tributary of the Congo River in Africa. A Burnt-Out Case is complete with a clipped fine dust jacket. The book was dedicated to Doctor Michel Lechat, a medical doctor in Yonda and one of a number of Leper colonies Greene had visited in Africa which had inspired his novel.

Black cloth boards with silver gilt on the title and all in very good condition. The end papers and contents are clean. Light browning and spotting on the pages. The dust jacket is in very good condition with minimal wear to the edges. Tiny chipping on the spine ends. 8vo 256 printed pages.
