Babars Travels First Edition by Jean de Brunhoff

£215.00

First Edition

Published by Methuen & Co Ltd, London 1935

A very fine for it’s age copy of the famous story of Babar the Elephant and his travels. A highly collectable edition.

Babars Travels First Edition by Jean de Brunhoff:

A very presentable copy of a first edition of Babars Travels and a good¬†example of this antique children’s classic. Bright blue boards with Babar and Celeste in a balloon illustration on the front cover. Colours are very bright and there are a few scratches, otherwise a very good condition. Red spine binding in good condition. Internally free end pages have red and grey illustrated elephants in good condition. Contents are in remarkably clean and bright condition with no scribbles or tears. Minimal browning. Bindings a little loose on page eight but otherwise a very tight copy. 48 printed pages. Large format, 14 1/2 x 10 1/2.
