A very good first edition copy of Across the River and Into the Trees with dust jacket. Provenance: An amorial bookplate on the front paste down is of Thomas Blofeld, Hoverton. Hoveton House was built at the end of the seventeenth century for Thomas Blofeld MP and Mayor of Norwich and it has remained in the hands of the Blofeld family. There is a signature of Henry Blofeld on the front free page. The dust jacket is designed by Hans Tindell. A rare find.
Original green cloth boards in very good condition with minimal fading to the spine. Red decorations and silver lettering on the spine. Light shelf wear. Signature and bookplate on the front end papers and free page. The contents are very clean and the bindings are tight. The colourful dust jacket is bright with slight darkening of the spine. Some wear to the folds and chips to the spine edges. 8vo 254 printed pages.
