Winston Churchill was an avid historian especially interested in the history of Britain and it’s Commenwealth and American partners. It took him some time to complete the collection commencing the work in 1937 when he was not in government, and finally publishing it in his later years of 1956-8. The set contains the four volumes of “The Birth of Britain”, “The New World”, “The Age of Revolution” and “The Great Democracies”. These rare first editions remain a remarkable insight into Churchill’s take of British history.
